#37 | Immigrant Daughters and Creativity w/ Zarina Karapetyan

About This Episode

The nuances and obstacles of being a first generation immigrant daughter that wants to live a profoundly creative life. It’s a big journey and I was so excited to welcome talented multi-disciplinary artist and longtime friend, Zarina Karapetyan, to the show.

There was anxiety, daddy issues, heartbreaks, self-doubt and then a big journey to finding peace and pleasure with life, reciprocity and love from men, and creative fulfillment.

Enter into the beautifully creative and whimsical mind of Zarina as she dives into how she overcame her inner obstacles so that she could become the artist she always dreamed about being.

Expect to learn a lot about Soviet era parenting, Russia, attachments, father wounds, art, creativity, and so much more. I discussed the big lessons of what not to do with men, opening space for creativity through healing, and how we proved our moms wrong in life and how much they love it.

Zarina is a spectacular artist, check out her work below and follow her on instagram:
